Guest Interview: Jay Samit, CEO, Social Vibe, on brand/consumer contribution

December 21, 2009 Comments

This week I had the pleasure of sitting down with Jay Samit, CEO of SocialVibe, a cause-focused advertising platform that connects consumers with brands to drive social contribution.

What’s so refreshing is they only ask consumers to direct their attention towards a brand’s advertising and that brand then contributes to a cause of the consumer choosing. It’s such a simple but powerful idea when you consider the power of millions of people making simple, personal choices that together generate large scale social change.

I encourage you to identify a cause that’s meaningful to you from their very wide selection of great initiatives. It’s a simple way to make this holiday season about giving as well as receiving.

Happy holidays to all and I’d love to hear your thoughts on SocialVibe.

This sounds like a really interesting idea that would get marketing messages to consumers that want to receive those messages while helping improve lives. Brands have a lot to gain by participating.

Thanks, Charles. I agree. I think Socialvibe is doing great work that sits well with consumers. Have a great holiday break and good to be in touch.
